Novice Track

The B# Novice Track is designed for first-time students to take their initial steps in learning a new instrument. Novice students can build on the skills that will allow them to pursue higher levels such as sight reading and foundational techniques.

Advanced Track

The B# Advanced Track allows experienced students to develop a mastery in their instrument. Advanced students can expect longer and more complex pieces, audition preparation, and sophisticated technique work.

Not sure which track is right for you? Complete our level evaluation and our instructors will designate you the track that best suits your current level.

Meet Your Instructors

All B# courses are taught by current Harvard student instrumentalists with firsthand expertise. From concert experience to conservatory terms, instructors lead students toward their musical goals, whether that be finishing their first piece or making it to first seat. Following a pre-screen evaluation of a student's current level and goals, instructors guide students through either the advanced or novice track.
